2017 awareness campaign | Iowa Finance Authority

From brainstorming to choosing a theme and language, determining strategy, organizing media buys, and final art direction and execution, this annual, summer-long awareness campaign is different each year. For this campaign, I developed animated digital graphics, direct mail, display graphics, digital media, radio, video, a contest website, and more.

Some great projects never leave the ground. This is a campaign presented to Iowa Title Guaranty that went the way of the dodo. Although it didn’t make it, the mood of this campaign hits hard, and leaves a lasting impact.

Who said annual reports have to be boring? We had the opportunity to bring color into Iowa Finance Authority's web based financial report. I helped by illustrating unique themed pages to turn the programs into the ideal community. Illustrations show how each of the programs work together to give money back to Iowans.

WorkHound

I began working with WorkHound as a startup busness. With steady growth WorkHound is now an extablished app, solving worker retention issues in several fields. I am responsible for communication, ideation, direction, illustration, production, and everything inbetween. I have created assets including, but not limited to, animated PowerPoint pitch decks, fliers, business cards, posters, custom icon sets, several “feedback loops,” promotional items, and a modular trade booth.

80/35 Festival 2017 | Des Moines Music Coalition

Bringing music festivals to life is always fun! From annual theme conception to partnering with Kum & Go and executing a killer social media giveaway campaign, 80/35 is no exception. I helped to create an official poster, teaser graphics and advertisements as well as having the pleasure of being the longboarding unicorn, Sir Prancington, during the coolest viral campaign ever!

Altoona Now

Multimedia Advertising | City of Altoona

Our goal with Altoona Now is to keep Altoona’s growth climbing through finely tuned messaging targeted at young families and future home buyers. Primarily targeting digital media and showing off new business and economic activities, the “Rising Star” is repeated in their messaging and plays a key visual role to keep the trajectory of their collateral shooting skyward.

The Iowa Finance Authority’s HousingIowa Conference is a three day educational and networking event for Realtors® and lenders. Our team handles this annually from theme to execution. Since I have been involved, the funding and turnout for this event have increased every year. Deliverables I work on include (but are not limited to) themed illustration, website design, print and digital ads, postcards, event program, emails, digital materials and day of event materials.

Brown Winick

New Business Pitch | Brown Winick Law Firm

We were invited to refine Brown Winick’s message and image. I was asked to lead the visual approach with a series of adlobs (presentation ads made to be re-tooled in the future for real use) that ultimately helped to win their business. I was also asked to step in and advise Brian’s creation of their new logo and choose the Pantone® pallet. They loved it!

Thelma's

Dereck Lewis, the owner of Thelma’s Treats LLC., contacts me regularly as lead on Thelma’s projects. From packaging design to internal affairs, business to business pitches, point of purchase and marketing, I have developed assets for Dereck since he was a three state business. He is now established in 11 states and his brand is stronger than ever.

Packaging and Environmental

I have always enjoyed working in the 3D space. It is a challenging puzzle and very rewarding to see everything come together. I was involved in each of these pieces to build the wrapper, and insure that 2D graphics would translate to the 3D space. Not all of what appears here was graphically styled by me. But the custom dies, templates, and shapes were all built by me.
